The dates that matter
Miami Art Week runs November 30 through December 6, 2026. Art Basel Miami Beach itself has invitation-only preview days on December 2 and 3, then opens to the public December 4 to 6 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
More than twenty satellite fairs open in the same stretch, from tents on Ocean Drive to warehouses in Wynwood. You will not see them all. Nobody does. The people who look relaxed simply chose.
How to do it without losing your mind
Pick one big fair a day and one neighborhood for the evening. Miami Beach and Wynwood are different worlds, and the causeway in Art Week traffic is a lifestyle choice.
Book hotels and dinners early: the city fills months ahead. Then leave one evening completely unplanned, because the best party of the week is usually the one someone texts you about at 9 p.m.
What to wear
Gallery chic, but walkable. Think linen, a statement piece and shoes you can stand in for six hours. The art is the show; your blisters do not need to be.
