The secret to Miami is not trying to see all of it. Pick two neighborhoods a day, stay near the water at sunset, and save the car rides for the night. Here is the plan we give friends.
Morning
Start at Lummus Park while the sand is quiet, then grab coffee and walk the Art Deco district along Ocean Drive and Collins.

Lunch
String lights, sidewalk tables and an easy lunch on a pedestrian lane.

Afternoon
Cross the causeway for murals, galleries and a late snack at 1-800-Lucky.

Sunset
Head to Sugar in Brickell for golden hour over the skyline.

Night
Book Mother Wolf or, for a once-in-a-trip meal, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon.

Morning
Arrive at opening for the bayfront terraces before the crowds.

Lunch
Greenstreet Cafe for sidewalk people-watching, then a stroll through Peacock Park.

Afternoon
Calle Ocho, dominoes at Máximo Gómez Park and a shared colada at a ventanita.

Sunset
The best free sunset seat in Miami Beach, with cruise ships sailing out.

Night
End with live Latin music and mojitos back in Little Havana.

GETTING AROUND
Ride-share between neighborhoods; walk within them. The free Wynwood trolley helps on day 1.
